Open Venture Society’s mission is to be a resource and capacity-building membership organization that serves the needs of the current and next generation of social ventures. Our company will provide open source web solutions and sustainable events to serve the needs of the social entrepreneurs, nonprofit and startup ventures and the community that supports them. The company’s consumers cooperative model will provide membership, open source asp services, a signature series of networking events, and a network to fund, foster and connect this community to harness local resources and support sustainable development. Open Venture Society will use its services, events and platform to help ventures innovate and collaborate by growing a community built on the shared mission of supporting the startups, nonprofits and social ventures that comprise the local and global sustainable development sector.
